A rule that fixes tic tac toe
The flaw is well known: between two attentive players, tic tac toe always ends in a draw. The game is mathematically solved, and that perfection makes it useless past a certain age.
The three-mark rule changes everything. Because your oldest move disappears as you place a new one, the grid is in constant motion: a winning position evaporates on its own if you do not close it in time.
What it actually demands
You have to anticipate not only your opponent's move but the disappearance of your own. It exercises anticipation and sequence memory, not just pattern recognition.
